ABU DHABI // A woman who needed hospital treatment after being attacked by her 19-year-old nephew demanded a harsher sentence from the Appeals Court. Records did not make clear what sentence the nephew received earlier but the aunt argued it did not do justice to her injuries - which included loss of consciousness. Dr Khairi Al Kabbash, head of the Appeals Court, asked if the nephew and aunt could reconcile away from court but she stated that her relative had a violent past and had previously assaulted another man. A verdict is expected on December 27.
