When looking at this image by staff photographer Antonie Robertson of two men changing a truck tire my mind goes to realist painters such as Ilya Repin and Gustave Courbet, whom understood the power of body language in an image.
With neither man’s face visible and their bodies archived over the tire parts the image becomes very symbolic of the physical nature of man’s relationship with machines.
