Focal Point: Hitching a ride by Jeff Topping

Not so long ago, camels were the only modes of transportation in the desert. Photographer Jeff Topping captured a moment that illustrates how times have changed. Looking bemused, the camels peer over the top of the truck, surveying the sights of their local landscape. Their postures are similar to that of three children in the back of a car on a family outing, one fixed on the road whilst the other two look out the windows. Could their expressions suggest that they are pondering the rapid development and change in their country, or are they simply enjoying the lift?
