A British businessman told a panel of judges yesterday he had smoked hashish, but not in the UAE.
MF, 49, was arrested in March in Al Barsha after a tip-off to the anti-narcotics department at Dubai Police.
Traces of hashish were found in a urine sample.
A verdict is expected on May 27.
