ABU DHABI // Police helicopters carried out six rescue missions in April to transport sick and injured people to hospital.

The Air Wing Department said one mission involved airlifting a three-year-old boy who had suffered third degree burns from Ghayathi Hospital to Mafraq Hospital.

Another involved taking a 23-year-old Emirati woman who was injured in a road accident from Al Hayar area to Tawam Hospital in Al Ain.

The aircrews provided patients with medical care at the scene of the incidents and on-board the helicopter before they arrived in hospital.
