Ten diesel tankers damaged in Ajman blaze

Ten diesel tankers were damaged in a blaze in Ajman on Thursday, the emirate's civil defence said.

The incident happened at Al Jurf industrial area 2, just after 1am.

No-one was injured in the blaze, but a trailer was damaged, along with the tankers.

Photographs of the aftermath showed some of the lorries burnt out.

It is believed they were owned by two diesel companies.

Firefighting crews from Ajman Civil Defence and Al Jurf fire station quickly brought the blaze under control.

An investigation was launched to determine the cause.

Authorities urged businesses to follow fire safety measures.
