DUBAI // Twenty people were injured in traffic accidents on Dubai’s roads over two days.

Fourteen people were injured in an incident near the World Trade Centre bridge on Saturday at 7.30am, said Brig Saif Al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic.

“A Serbian man driving a Kia swerved in front of an Indian man driving a Prado, resulting in a crash. Three minutes later, a bus hit the Prado resulting in injuries to 14 people.”

The second incident took place on the Dubai-Al Ain road on Sunday at 10.40pm.

“One vehicle hit a metal barrier near the Manama Street exit and resulted in a five-car pileup,” said Brig Al Mazrouei. “Two people were moderately injured and four people sustained minor injuries.”

Also on Sunday at around 1:30pm, a concrete mixing truck caught fire in the Nahda 1 area. No injuries were reported.
