1,000 poor and elderly Indonesians fed in ERC Ramadan project

Emirates Red Crescent and the UAE Embassy in Jakarta have distributed Zakat al Fitr to 1,000 poor and elderly people in the Indonesian capital.

Zakat al Fitr is alms given to the poor at the end of Ramadan. A number of Indonesian officials attended the distribution, at Istiqlal Mosque, on Friday, the state news agency Wam reported.

In a separate move, the UAE Embassy in Hanoi, in cooperation with Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, ERC, Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity International, implemented its Iftar Project.
