A career journalist who cut his teeth in the UK before moving to the UAE in 2007, Nic joined The National in 2008, first as deputy news editor then news editor. At the relaunch in 2017, he became production editor before his role was expanded and he joined the senior staff as night editor in 2018. He became an assistant editor in chief in May 2021.
