Hala is a Social Media Journalist and has experience covering Middle East politics, as part of her training on The National's 2024 graduate programme. She graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a bachelor's degree in mass communications. During her studies, she did an honours programme at Stanford University where she studied writing and film. She also completed internships with MBC and Forbes Middle East before graduating.
