Sunday morning’s mixed martial arts event in New York at Madison Square Garden, which takes place in the early hours of tomorrow morning UAE time, is highlighted by a bout between UFC Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and UFC Featherweight champion Conor McGregor. There are six fights on the card in all.
Brazilian Grand Prix, Sunday
The penultimate round of the Formula One season and Lewis Hamilton is pushing to ensure that the championship will go to the final round, the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, on November 27. The world champion trails Mercedes-GP teammate Nico Rosberg by 19 points.
ATP World Tour Finals, starting Sunday
The finale to the men’s tennis season begins in London, with the event running through until its final on November 20. Andy Murray, the new world No 1, is out to win the tournament for the first time, while the man he deposed, Novak Djokovic, is after a fifth successive title.
DP World Tour Championship, starting Thursday
The finale to the European Tour Race to Dubai again takes place at the Earth Course. Henrik Stenson currently leads the points standings and he will be confident of staying there, having won at the Earth Course in 2013 and 2014. World No 2 Rory McIlroy is the defending champion.
