2012 Champions League final
At 0-0 against a resolute Chelsea, Muller finally breaks the deadlock, in the 83rd minute with a header for 1-0. Five minutes later Didier Drogba equalisers and Bayern lose, at the Allianz Arena, on penalties.

2013 Champions League semi-final
Another header to break a deadlock. Muller leads an unstoppable charge, Bayern out-muscling Barcelona, his goal opening the floodgates for 4-0 on the night, 7-0 on aggregate, Muller grabbing three of them.

2014 World Cup semi-final
Germany overwhelm Brazil, the hosts, to book their place in World Cup final they win. Muller silences the Belo Horizonte crowd with the first goal, from a Toni Kroos corner. The Germans finish 7-1 winners.

2016 Champions League last 16
Juventus, having come back to draw the first leg 2-2 from 2-0 down, are leading the second 2-1 in Bavaria as injury time begins. Cue a Muller goal to force the tie into extra-time, where Bayern prevail.

2016 Champions League quarter-final
One-nil up from the first leg against Benfica, Bayern struggle in Lisbon, falling a goal down in the first half. At 1-1 on the night, Muller relieves the pressure after he pokes home from a Javi Martinez header.
