How it happened: delight for Brawn

It was just like old times at Monza as Brawn claimed a one-two finish with Rubens Barrichello winning his second race of the season.

A second win of the season for the oldest driver in the field at the Italian Grand Prix sees Rubens Barrichello slash teammate Jenson Button's lead in the championship to 14 points as Brawn record a fourth one-two finish of the season ? the first time the Brazilian has led home. The 37-year-old must now be harbouring hopes of pushing Button all the way for this year's drivers' title, with just four races left of the season. There was heartbreak for world champion Lewis Hamilton as he crashed out with one lap to go as he chased the Brawn duo hard. With the McLaren driver now 53 points behind Button, it means he has effectively surrendered his crown meaning we will crown a new champion in Abu Dhabi on November 1. His crash elevated Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to third place in front of the team's home fans. How to use the live blog Click the "Play" icon to enter the live blog.
