The National Sport front page on Monday, February 2 features two world No 1s celebrating tournament wins as golf's Rory McIlroy claimed the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, while tennis star Novak Djokovic secured his fifth Australian Open title.
McIlroy maintained his lead atop of leaderboard during Sunday's final round to win his second Desert Classic title — and his tenth professional triumph — by three-shots.
Meanwhile, Djokovic sealed the Australian Open title with a four-set victory over Britain’s Andy Murray. The victory moves the Serbian to eight career major titles, level with Andre Agassi, Ivan Lendl, Jimmy Connors, Fred Perry, and Ken Rosewall.
