ABU DHABI // From the onset, Kuwait looked a cut above in the pool. And it has been so every single day of the 19th Gulf Championship at the Al Jazira Club. They grabbed 10 out of the 12 gold medals in Monday's age division in which the only bright spot was UAE's first gold in five days of the event. The host nation's Abdulla Saeed shared first place with Mohammed Yousef of Saudi Arabia in the 50m breast stroke for under 17, clocking 32.21secs. The bronze went to Saudi's Murtada Ahmed.
Kuwait won three out of the five events in the U17 and swept the U14 and U12 events on the night.
