Jordan Henderson, Santi Cazorla and Billy Clarke stand out in midfield – The National’s FA Cup Team of the Week

Goalkeeper: Shay Given (Aston Villa) The veteran is usually a substitute but, on a rare start, he showed his class by making a stunning save to deny Leicester's Matty James.

Right-back: Craig Dawson (West Bromwich Albion) A centre-back playing at right-back, Dawson nonetheless got forward well to set up Brown Ideye's opener against West Ham.

Centre-back: Shane Duffy (Blackburn Rovers) After a difficult start, the Blackburn defence got to grips with the Stoke attack with Duffy excelling, as he had against Swansea in the previous round.

Centre-back: Mamadou Sakho (Liverpool) Stood tall when Crystal Palace piled on the pressure in the closing stages, allowing Liverpool to avert a third successive setback at Selhurst Park.

Left-back: James Meredith (Bradford City) On a weekend of terrific left-back displays, the marauding League One player gets the nod ahead of Kieran Gibbs and Markus Olsson.

Right midfield: Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading) It was overshadowed by other shocks but Reading's win at Derby was a surprise and Robson-Kanu scored the opening goal.

Centre midfield: Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) The stand-in skipper led by example with a dogged display in midfield and a beautiful pass to set up Daniel Sturridge's equaliser.

Centre midfield: Santi Cazorla (Arsenal) In majestic form at the moment, the Spaniard ran the show as Arsenal outclassed Middlesbrough to reach the last eight.

Left midfield: Billy Clarke (Bradford City) The lively Irishman isn't guaranteed his place in the team but was too sharp and too quick-witted for Sunderland at Valley Parade.

Striker: Brown Ideye (West Bromwich Albion) After Albion almost sold Ideye, he scored four goals in a week, including two in the 4-0 rout of West Ham.

Striker: Josh King (Blackburn Rovers) The Norwegian had scored one goal for Rovers all season. Then the speedy striker managed a 20-minute hat-trick to defeat Stoke.
