The Formula One lollapalooza descended on Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit in earnest today ahead of Sunday's season finale.
Lorries brought crate after crate down to the pit lane, all containing vital components of each team's race cars, ready to be assembled ahead of the action.
The opening scenes resembled a series of multi-million pound Meccano sets being carefully unloaded, with the smell of chemicals and degreaser heavy in the air.
Each team worked to a variety of high-tempo dance tracks, giving the whole affair an almost party feel.
