  • MS Dhoni (6/10): He struggled with the bat once again, but he stayed until the end to get himself a fifty and stretch India's total to as much as possible. He may have to find a way to up the ante against better teams. Clive Mason / Getty Images

  • Mohammed Shami (9/10): The fast bowler made the best use of his time on the field by taking four wickets even as Bhuvneshwar Kumar nurses an injury. But in the process, Shami has made himself undroppable and should have won the man-of-the-match award, instead of Kohli. Jon Super / AP Photo

  • Jasprit Bumrah (8/10): The fast bowler once again proved unplayable and once again took two wickets. Consistency has been Bumrah's greatest strength, which along with his short run-up and variety, has invited comparisons with former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram. Jon Super / AP Photo

Shami, Bumrah and Chahal proving undroppable: India player ratings against West Indies

Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah once again combined to power India to victory, this time by 125 runs against the West Indies on Thursday, to top their team's report card as we rate individual performances throughout the Cricket World Cup.

India, who have one foot in the semi-finals of the tournament, greatly benefited from fast bowlers Shami (4-16) and Bumrah (2-9) as the Windies came nowhere close to what possibly looked like a below-par Indian total of 268-7 in Manchester. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was also among the wickets.

But India have captain Virat Kohli to thank once again for scoring a crucial half-century, his fourth on the bounce, as India's other batsmen struggled.
