It was another evening of incredible batsmanship in Sharjah as Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs.

Delhi captain Sheryas Iyer led the way with an unbeaten 88 from just 38 balls, with good support from opener Prithvi Shaw who hit 66, as Delhi posted 228-4.

Given what had happened in previous matches at the venue, the Knight Riders would have been confident of putting up a good fight. But Delhi pacer Anrich Nortje (3-33) struck at crucial moments to restrict Kolkata to 210-8.

Eoin Morgan (44) and Rahul Tripathi (36) continued to fight until the end but 92 runs from the last five overs was too big an ask.
