LIVERPOOL // Manchester City hit David Moyes' side with two superb counter-attack goals as Robinho turned on the style away from home. The Brazilian's 14th goal of the season gave Manchester City the lead in the 35th minute. Everton right-back Tony Hibbert's hopeful ball forward was headed down by Nedum Onuoha and Elano's brilliant first-time pass sent Robinho racing down the left and Phil Jagielka was trailing as he fired through Tim Howard's legs. On 54 minutes, it was two. Segundo Castillo's shot was blocked and the ball fell to City's Felipe Caciedo. The big striker fed Robinho, who brilliantly switched play, leaving Stephen Ireland clear to slot home. Danny Gosling pulled one back in injury time for Everton. sports@thenational.ae
