Emirati social-media users have sent heartfelt prayers to the families of the martyrs of the attack in Afghanistan, and expressed their pride with the humanitarian acts carried out by the UAE around the world. They stressed that these charitable acts will continue regardless of the attack that caused the deaths of five Emiratis.
Many agreed that the martyrs’ families gave the most precious thing they had in the name of their country.
One wrote: “They will always represent a pride for their country and to all who take the initiative to help the needy. May your souls rest in peace.”
One user shared photos of UAE leaders comforting the families of the martyrs. One tweet said: “This is the answer to those who wonder why we love our leaders so much.”
