President Sheikh Mohamed received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
Both leaders called for an immediate halt to escalation of the conflict across the region and for “meaningful dialogue and diplomacy”, state news agency Wam reported.
They discussed the “escalating security and military developments in the region, and their serious implications for regional and international security and stability”.
Sheikh Mohamed also held a call with Aleksandar Vucic, President of Serbia, who condemned the attack targeting the UAE Consulate General in Kurdistan.
It constituted “a violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions and their premises, and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the safety and security of diplomatic personnel”, he said, as reported by Wam.
Mr Vucic reaffirmed Serbia’s solidarity with the UAE in “all measures it takes to safeguard its security, territorial integrity and the safety of its people”.
Sheikh Mohamed also received a call from Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin to discuss the regional situation and its implications for regional and international security, reported Wam.
Mr Martin condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, noting that they constitute a violation of international law and the UN Charter, Wam stated.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Germany's Johann Wadephul on Wednesday.
The two sides discussed the friendship and co-operative relations between the UAE and Germany, particularly in the economic, trade, industrial and investment sectors.
They also reviewed the outcomes of the official visit made by Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of Germany, to the UAE last month, and its “important role in strengthening the well-established relations and effective partnerships between the two countries”.
Also reviewed was “the importance of intensifying joint international efforts to support regional security and stability, and to promote diplomatic solutions and constructive dialogue to resolve outstanding crises in a manner that serves the interests of the peoples of the region”.
