The bare trunk of a cork tree which has had its bark harvested in the forest in Jendouba Governorate. The area has been hit by fires, harming the cork industry.
Cork collector Mouhamed Rebhi works on a tree trunk. The fires burned 1,000 hectares of woodland, including many of the cork oak trees that local people harvest each autumn.

Cork collector Khaled Warhani carries harvested pieces while his animal does the donkey work. "When the forest burns, we have nowhere else to work and will have nothing to eat," said Mr Warhani.
