Whether or not cooking is a regular part of your routine, cooking lessons could be the fire that kindles creativity in the kitchen. Here are a few to get you started.

Healthy & Fabulous

This adults-only class is designed for those with a basic set of cooking skills, but are looking to add a few healthy options to their culinary repertoire. Participants will learn to cook a three-course menu over a two-hour period.

Culinary Flair

If you find yourself ordering out or looking to ready-made meals on a daily basis, it might be time to invest in a cooking class or two. International Centre for Culinary Arts Dubai offers the Culinary Flair package, a starter course in which participants spend two sessions learning how to operate different aspects of the kitchen. The following 16 sessions focus on learning to prepare various international cuisines and desserts.

Anantara Spice Spoons

The Spice Spoons cooking classes offered by Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara focus on Arabian and Thai cuisine. Classes have between two and 12 people, and begin with participants heading to the fruit and vegetable market in Mina to select fresh products. Upon returning to the hotel, they will prepare selected dishes, which they also get to eat. Attendees receive a complimentary chopping board, apron and a bag, along with a recipe pack.

Nutritious & Delicious

Healthy meals need not mean bland, boring fare. Culinary Boutique’s Nutritious & Delicious session focuses on preparing a three-course, health conscious meal. Participants will learn how to make gazpacho, spicy chicken goujons with sweet spud chips, and meringue nests with ricotta and mixed-berry chia coulis.

Sushi Masterclass

Sushi can be a healthy lunch or dinner alternative when done right. Try your hand at a sushi-rolling class at Sushi Central in Abu Dhabi. Participants will be given a demonstration before trying out a variety of rolls for themselves. Also included are tips about how to buy the freshest seafood, where to buy it and what cut to ask for.
