The A'l Bahar beachfront community at Abu Dhabi Corniche is holding a Water Festival on the weekends of May 4-5 and May 11-12.

The 80,000-square-metre A’l Bahar area will be taken over by water-based slides, games and activities Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 7pm each day. There will be wet activities including Soapy Soccer and the Triple Fun Mega Water Slide. There will also be supervised water-themed crafts and games for younger children, including a fill-the-bottle race, jump rope splash, pass the water relay and sponge bucket race.

Aquafun, Abu Dhabi's first inflatable waterpark, featuring slides, ramps, bridges, steps, jumps, balloons, monkey bars, which is off the beach at A'l Bahar, is also open for visitors.

Ahmed Ben Chaibah, CEO and founder of AquaFun, says, ‘The Water Festival will host a wide range of exciting activities, games and events for all to enjoy, and promises to be a fantastic weekend’.

Early bird tickets are priced from Dh100, which give ticket holders seven hours of unlimited slides and activities and can be purchased online via the AquaFun website until Thursday. Standard tickets can be purchased at AquaFun at A'l Bahar on the Corniche.

Both the Water Festival activities and AquaFun are aimed at children aged 5 years and above and are suitable for swimmers and non-swimmers using the buoyancy devices provided.
