A beach house in Brazil is the most wish-listed property by UAE travellers on Airbnb, the global travel rental site has told The National.

The holiday home is located in Governador Celso Ramos, Santa Catarina, Brazil, in the south of the country. It has four bedrooms, sleeps eights guests and, most exceptionally, comes with its own private beach.

Take a look through the photo gallery above to see more.

It is easy to see why it is so popular. The modern build has an inviting terrace, sea views and it is situated in a natural park.

An Airbnb representative explained of the wish-list system: "[It] basically means that users on Airbnb save these homes to their favourites and it's a good way to see which homes are getting viewed the most on our platform."

The property's advert reads: "It was designed in tropical timber by an architect from Porto Alegre, mixing glass and wood, with panoramic sea views (including from the rooms), with modern bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.

"This house was built directly on the beach. It has a large living room, large dining room. It is elegant and composed mainly of large windows for panoramic views of the sea, the garden and the beach. It is integrated in nature and has a warm atmosphere and gorgeous views and immediate access to the sea."

The owners report that guests may spot dolphins at sea from the house, and they can go and pick wild oysters to eat from the neighbouring rocks.

A caretaker and gardener live on-site, and there is a total of three properties on the private plot.

The property costs Dh561 to book for one or two people, per night. From there it goes up by Dh280 per person, per night.

Anyone who books will have the entire house to themselves and it must be booked for a minimum of four adults, any time from December 1 until April 30. Children under the age of 5 stay for free.

There is no cap on the amount of time guests can spend there, but it must be booked for a minimum of two nights.

The advert says: "Come for a weekend, a week, two weeks, a month or more ... This property is natural and beautiful, you will not regret it."

How do you get there?

To get to Governador Celso Ramos, UAE travellers can fly to either Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo. Both flights take about 14 hours and 30 minutes, with prices starting at Dh5,800.

Once in Brazil, fly south to Florianopolis, which takes around one hour and 40 minutes from Rio de Janeiro or one hour and 20 minutes from Sao Paulo. Domestic flights start at Dh62 with LATAM Airlines.
