Emirates to start daily A380 service to Osaka

If you prefer travelling on an Airbus A380 and have an interest in discovering Japan, keep October 28 marked on the calendar - that’s when Emirates will launch its double-decker service to Osaka.

When it begins later this year, Osaka will be the second Japanese destination the airline will send the flagship aircraft to, behind Narita in the south.

The A380 service replaces the 777-300ER aircraft currently servicing the route. It will offer 489 seats in a three-class configuration - 399 in Economy, 76 flat-bed seats in Business, and 14 First Class private suites.

Osaka is one of seven prefectures in the Kansai region which forms the core region of western Japan. It is Japan's second largest metropolitan area after Tokyo and is the gateway to Kyoto, Japan’s ancient capital.

The Emirates A380 flights to Osaka will leave Dubai International Airport daily at 3.05am and arrive in Osaka at 4.55pm, while the return will depart Osaka at 11.35pm and land in Dubai at 5.45am.

The flight time is a little over nine hours direct. For more go to www.emirates.com
