#MeAt20: Can you guess the celebrity based on their throwback pictures?

A new online challenge has stars posting what they looked like when they were 20 years old

With people across the world isolating, indulging in a fair bit of nostalgia is commonplace. It’s completely understandable that the next thing to take the online world by storm is the #MeAt20 challenge.

Similar to the ten year challenge that had people posting pictures of how much they looked in 2009 versus 2019, this trend has everyone from sports stars to celebrities posting images of “the good ol’ days” – specifically when they were 20 years old. Want to take a little walk down memory lane? Here’s a look at some of our favourite celebrity throwbacks.

This celebrity food writer and chef basically won the Internet over when she posted a black and white photo of herself looking every bit as glamorous as she usually does. As she noted in her Tweet, she’s not exactly 20 here but 23 -  but who cares about technicalities when you get this blast from the past from Nigella Lawson?

Who would have ever guessed that this 20-year-old in a sleeveless leopard print would  go on to become a Golden Globe winner. He’s starred in movies like Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’s Diary and Love Actually. It’s Hugh Grant, of course -  before he became a household name.

This actor, comedian and singer is best known for voicing Olaf in the Frozen franchise. Admittedly, he seems to have undergone quite the transformation since this photo was taken (including completely changing the colour of his hair). Just one of the many reasons it’s hard to link this to the Josh Gad we know today.

The Freaks and Geeks actress shared a picture of her 20-year-old self with the scathing question “Do I win something?”. Well, not really, but Busy Philipps did prove that the rules of ageing don’t seem to apply to her – she looks almost the same!

Dressing up like something else is all in a day’s work for most actors and Broadway stars. The Hamilton star only did the world a favour by posting a picture of himself doing the same at 20. Here’s a look at Lin-Manuel Miranda, dressed as Jennifer Lopez.

The British media personality jumped on to the online trend by sharing a photo of herself snapped in 1981, featuring a head full of curls. Carol Vorderman showcased her fresh-faced look from her graduation.
