Elegant and uncomplicated, this bedside table with integrated reading light is one of the highlights of the new season collection by Roche Bobois, previewed this week. Completing the Echoes line by the Italian architect and designer Mauro Lipparini, a pioneer of the movement known as natural minimalism, it is a typical example of his signature style of clean lines and simple form.
Crafted from solid ash warmed by a walnut stain, the table features a gently angled design that means it leans in to the bed, presenting its function and light to you. The light's wires are all entirely concealed and the lower tier shelf is perfect for tucking away your bedside books so the top tier is kept clean, thus maximising its uncluttered appeal.
The Roche Bobois Spring/Summer collection goes on sale this month and also includes a collection by the French fashion designer Sonia Rykiel.
