Tom Arnel And Sergio Lopez (better known as Tom and Serg) are opening yet another venue in Dubai, but this one’s not a cafe. The new venue — called the Brunswick Sports Club — will be a space for sports fans.
Lopez says: “Tom and I always aim to create venues that we ourselves want to hang out in, and Brunswick Sports Club is no exception. It’s all about celebrating our love of sport and community. It’s casual, paying homage to Tom’s Australian roots and of course, shorts are always welcome.”
Arnel and Lopez are the same men behind the chic cafes Tom&Serg; The Sum of Us; and Common Grounds, all in Dubai. The Brunswick Sports Club, which will be the duo’s first licensed venue, gets its name from Brunswick, a suburb in Melbourne, Australia, known for its pubs.
Arnel says: “We’ll be serving up wholesome, rustic, man-sized portions, crisp drinks, an array of epic burgers and sharing food for the whole team. Think a distinct and industrial fit-out that draws inspiration from a Brooklyn style gym with a spacious courtyard full of lush greenery.”
For now, the two are keeping the location a secret. Lopez says, “The location is very central and accessible no matter what part of the city you’re coming from”.
