Six years ago, celebrity chefs Scott Price and Nick Alvis took over the rebranded Table 9 when Gordon Ramsey ended his partnership with the venue. After two succesful years at the restaurant, the pair left to launch their new project, Taste Kitchen at Mercato Mall.
The pair are now returning with another venture, Folly by Nick and Scott, which is set to open in February on the former site of Madinat Jumeirah’s Rivington Grill, EdgarDaily.com reports.
The 120-cover venture will feature an indoor dining area, outdoor bar and terrace, and an “interactive kitchen”.
The menu is reportedly set to offer an informal take on contemporary fine dining – smoked paprika monkfish cheeks and Omani shrimp are among the predicted specialities, while diners will also be able to create their own tasting menu.
For those who want to avoid the crowds, there will be a private, 12-seat “communal table” and an exclusive two-seat private table called The Windtower – ideal for those intimate moments with a special someone.
