Ever tried catching Dragonite, Wigglytuff or Lapras in Old Dubai? How about doing it while devouring some finger-licking snacks at hidden food gems along the way? Dubai-based food touring company, Frying Pan Adventures and Gulf Photo Plus, have found a way to combine two of the country's passions — Pokemon Go and food — in a one-time Unseen Trails tour.

The Pokemon Hunt in Old Dubai will take place on September 29 and will allow fervent fans of the game to aggressively track down and chase characters, power up across 18 Pokestops and incubate eggs in the alleyways of Bur Dubai and Deira. But don’t worry, if you are new to the game, hosts Arva Ahmed, co-founder of the tour company, and radio presenter Nathalie of Dubai 92FM, will drop expert tips and hints along the way.

You’ll get to fuel up for the big chase on the 5.5-kilometre route with snacks and sweets including Indian bakherwadi (spicy Indian snack), Emirati sweet fritters, Chinese tea eggs, chai, shawarma tastings and Iranian frozen noodles.

Frying Pan Adventures will also loan out 10 Samsung smartphones loaded with the game to participants who request one at the time of booking.

The Pokemon Hunt in Old Dubai will begin outside the Ghubaiba Metro Station in Bur Dubai at 5pm on September 29 and finish near the Union Metro Station in Deira. Tickets cost Dh350 and can be purchased at www.unseentrails.com.
