With Ramadan on its way and sweets on the menu at many an iftar during the holy month, the opening of Abu Dhabi’s newest cafe is right on time.
Located just off the Corniche on Al Bateen Street, Delecto is being marketed as a “grown-up sweet shop and charming European style cafe and bakery”.
While serving as a cafe, with everything from a homemade pizza offering to Middle Eastern fare, there is also a selection of Arabic and international sweets available for takeaway.
You can get your Tunisian marzipan flavoured with pistachio, and Baklava as well as a mind-boggling chocolate range. The bakery offers up fresh bread, croissants and celebration cakes, or you can indulge in an ice cream from the trolley in store.
Featuring a perfectly orchestrated showroom with eight bespoke, themed culinary corners, there’s also an open kitchen in the middle where guests can watch skilled chefs and chocolatiers at work.
Delecto is located in CI Tower, Al Bateen Street, Abu Dhabi and is open from 7am to midnight daily.
