The 2018 Hollywood Film Awards kicked off America's awards season at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night, with Nicole Kidman given a career achievement award and the Crazy Rich Asians cast winning breakout ensemble.

Glenn Close won the actress award for The Wife and Hugh Jackman the actor award for The Front Runner, while Damien Chazelle was honoured as the director of the year for First Man.

The awards first began in 1997, and are one of the first big American awards every year. We now have the People's Choice Awards (November 11), the Independent Spirit Awards (November 16), the Golden Globes (Dec 6) and the Critics Choice Awards (Jan 13) up ahead, among many other events. Awards season then culminates with the Oscars on Sunday, February 24 next year.

But, what is almost as important as who wins what is who wears what, so scroll through the gallery above to see all the must-see dresses, from Anne Hathaway in Valentino to Constance Wu in Rodarte. We're so excited for all of the red carpets coming up...
