Drake's fashion label Ovo is showing its support for Lebanon with the release of a dedicated Cedar of Lebanon line of hoodies, as well as a T-shirt.
The items, which will be available online only, will be released on Wednesday. All proceeds are being donated to the Lebanese Red Cross, in aid of the victims of the Beirut port explosion.
Ovo is co-owned by Drake, rapper Oliver El-Khatib and producer Noah “40” Shebib, who are both Lebanese-Canadian. The trio is also behind the Ovo Sound Record Label.
The new hoodies come in black and red, while the T-shirts are available in white and black. All feature Ovo’s distinctive owl label, with the Lebanese flag embedded into the design.
The Instagram post announcing the news received more than 70,000 likes in 14 hours, so it seems likely the items will sell out fast.
Drake has previously shown his affinity for the Middle East by trying his hand at the language. In Only You Freestyle, a track he released this summer, he opted to rap some of his lyrics in Arabic. He inserted the words "Habibti please, ana akeed, enti w ana ahla" ("My love, please, I'm sure, you and I look better together") in to the song, to the delight of his regional fans.
