American model Gigi Hadid, who is of Dutch-Palestinian decent, has shared a series of images from a maternity photoshoot to her Instagram.
"Growin' an angel," she captioned the first photo, which shows the model in a loose-fit white dress that exposes part of her growing bump.
In the photo, she tagged fashion photography duo, Luigi and Iango; fashion director, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson; and make-up artist, Erin Parsons – who make up the team behind the shoot.
The supermodel is currently expecting her first child with Pakistani-British singer, Zayn Malik.
"Cherishing this time. Appreciate all the love and well wishes," she captioned a series of three different black-and-white photos. "Will never forget creating these special images".
She captioned a series of two images "7.26.20", the assumed date of the shoot, making the images around one month old.
The model confirmed she was expecting her first child with Malik earlier this year. However, since the news broke, she has predominantly kept her pregnancy private.
However, during a July video, she did speak about why she was choosing to stay quiet about her pregnancy.
During the live video, the 25-year-old told fans she wasn't posting about her pregnancy as it’s "not the most important thing going on in the world".
"That's a reason that I felt that it's not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to [the] coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening," she said.
"And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the Black Lives Matter movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."
However, she did show fans her stomach in the video, speaking of how she was feeling uncomfortable in the Pennsylvania heat, and was choosing to stay cool in floaty pyjamas. "There's my belly y'all," she said. "Like it's there, it's just from the front it's different."
The couple have not announced when their baby is due. However the video and series of new photos come after the model, who is thought to be around eight months pregnant with a baby girl, was accused by some fans of concealing her bump.
The model confirmed her pregnancy to talk show host Jimmy Fallon in May, telling the TV personality the couple were "extremely happy and excited".
"Obviously, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support," she said.
Hadid and Malik, 27, have been in an on/off relationship since 2015. They broke up for a period in 2018, but it was confirmed they were back together.
