After months spent at home taking the same daily walks around your neighbourhood, pet owners in Dubai will be pleased to learn of a new dog-friendly spot.
Palm Jumeirah’s The Pointe beach is open for dog-walkers who wish to take a stroll against the backdrop of Atlantis, The Palm, provided they follow a few rules.
The Pointe has confirmed to The National that the beach is now dog-friendly, saying signage about this is likely to go up this week.
“Dogs are permitted at The Pointe beach, provided they are kept on a leash at all times and do not enter the water,” a spokesperson for The Pointe confirmed. “Owners must also bring their own dog waste bags and dispose of them in an appropriate manner."
“We thank our two – and four – legged guests in advance for their co-operation.”
The Pointe is a relatively new development on Palm Jumeirah, with beachfront restaurants including Bareburger, Argentina Grill, Per Te and Kyo.

There are also coffee shops, including % Arabica. Some of the dining options at The Pointe are now doing a call and collect curbside pick-up for those wanting to social distance: Chicago Meatpackers and Ibn Hamido offer this option.
