Dubai is a hub for start-ups, and this latest one specialises in menswear. While the region has its fair share of subscription-box services across beauty and food products, Kaizen Box specifically targets fashion-savvy men.
Subscribers will receive monthly black boxes with a minimum of five men’s items, including a pair of socks, a tie, and pocket square, plus two metal accessories: lapel pins, tie clips, cufflinks or bracelets. The customer can request a specific colour scheme each month.
"Kaizen" is a Japanese word that translates to "continual improvement," and commonly refers to good business philosophy and ethics. The Kaizen Box founders claim that this approach is reflected in their selection of menswear items, which are curated from around the world.
There are two subscription plans on offer, which need to be paid for in full, upfront. The three-month plan costs Dh139 per month and the 12-month plan costs Dh119 per month. Men who are interested in the concept but don’t want to commit, can order a trial box for Dh159.
