Shopping for discounted items from the comfort of your own home has become a lot easier, thanks to the newly launched Amazon Warehouse in the UAE.
The new shopping platform allows customers to save by purchasing pre-owned and open-box products at a discounted price. The website provides deals across several categories, such as electronics, home, kitchen, toys and sports. Amazon Prime members can also get same-day delivery.
Each year, Amazon receives millions of customer returns, which are inspected to assess quality and condition. If they meet Amazon's standards for resale, they will end up on Amazon Warehouse with a note saying "used", along with its condition. They will then be resold at a discounted price.
All products are inspected and graded using Amazon's 20-point quality system, which includes things such as cosmetic damage, packaging and missing accessories. Conditions range from "like new", which is described as "in perfect working condition", to "acceptable", which states that an "item may have clear signs of usage, but still serves it main function".
Even though inventory may quickly change because an item will probably not be fully stocked, all Amazon Warehouse products are still backed by the company's 15-day return policy.

“We perform rigorous inspections on each Amazon Warehouse item while guaranteeing easy returns if customers are unsatisfied, which means they can buy with confidence and enjoy the same peace of mind they have when purchasing new products on Amazon.ae, with even greater value for their money."
In October, Amazon.ae expanded to allow customers in Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman to shop on its website.
