DUBAI // Dubai Police has launched a tourist awareness campaign.
The director of the tourist security department, Colonel Mohammed Rashid Al Muhairi, said the campaign is about the rules of public behaviour and will run in cooperation with bodies including the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing, the Department of Development, the Aviation Authority and UAE Central Bank.
The campaign began on Wednesday, The National's sister paper Al Ittihad reported, and will run until the end of the year.
Col Al Muhairi said Dubai does not have a specific behaviour law but that some tourists act out of goodwill or of ignorance to the country’s code of ethics.
