Dubai to build world’s first 3D printed office – in pictures

There was no date specified for Dubai’s 3D office building but as per plans the Museum of the Future is to open in 2017 in the Emirates Towers area near Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Courtesy UAE Innovation Committee

“The idea of 3D printing buildings was once a dream, but today it has become a reality,” Mohamed Al Gergawi, chairman UAE National Innovation Committee, said. A Chinese company had announced the construction of the world’s first 3D apartment building in January this year that is on display at the Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu province. The project is part of its Museum of the Future initiative and is predicted to play a major role in reshaping construction and design sectors.
