Aramex announced today that a fire occurred on Wednesday evening at a warehouse facility of one of its subsidiaries in Jebel Ali.
The logistics firm said in a filing on the Dubai Financial Market that the fire occurred on the evening of August 27 in one of the warehousing facilities of its subsidiary InfoFort in Jebel Ali.
“No one was injured in the incident. We are currently assessing the scale of the damage resulting from this incident,” the company said in a statement.
Aramex is still assessing the damage resulting from the fire, but insisted that InfoFort's operations and service provision was continuing as per usual. The company did not comment about whether Aramex deliveries would be affected.
InfoFort, a records and information management solutions provider, was acquired by Aramex in 2005.
