Macaulay Culkin recreated his famous ‘Home Alone’ moment with a funny face mask

The American actor took to Instagram to show off the mask of his younger self screaming in the famous 1990s movie

Everyone can give up and go home now, because Macauley Culkin, 40, has officially won the title of 'Best face mask'.

The actor took to Instagram to show off his new mask, which bore a print of his famous screaming pose from Home Alone.

“Just staying Covid-safe by wearing the flayed skin of my younger self,” he wrote. “Don't forget to wear your masks, kids.”

And Culkin’s famous friends seemed to love his coronavirus-safe look.

"So good Mack," wrote Oscar-winner, Natalie Portman in the comments, while Stand By Me star, Wil Wheaton added: "Amazing."

And it’s not the first time the American actor has poked fun at his child star past, recently posting on his birthday on August 26: “Hey guys, wanna feel old? I’m 40. You’re welcome. It’s my gift to the world: I make people feel old. I’m no longer a kid, that’s my job.”

The actor has worked steadily since his Home Alone days, popping up in small roles in Will & Grace and Frasier, but it was his role in 2004's Saved! which saw his fully fledged return to the spotlight.

He'll next make an appearance in American Horror Story, with show creator, Ryan Murphy, telling E! News: "I have this very, very great insane part. And I asked to speak to him on the phone and he said OK."
