Don't miss the official launch party of Dubai Marina's newest restaurant concept Atelier M on March 28, with a performance from the R&B star Lloyd, live PA from the US singer Bobby V and and appearance by the American singer and producer Jeremih. Lloyd's best internationally known track Dedication to My Ex (Miss That) - with a verse from Outkast's Andre 3000 and narration from Lil Wayne - placed at No 3 in the UK singles chart in 2011 and also reached No 1 in the UK R&B chart. The Italian DJ duo Neverdogs, who have had residencies in Ibiza at Space, Privelege and Zoo Project, will be on the decks keeping the guests dancing.
The Atelier M launch will double as a curtain raiser to the glamorous Dubai World Cup taking place the next day. Featuring a restaurant, lounge and rooftop terrace, Atelier M, which opened last month, is the brainchild of the chef Mohammed Islam. Islam, who's career includes stints at The Mercer in New York and the celebrity haunt Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, has created a chic, art deco venue overlaid with modern details and serves a menu of classic French cuisine with an Asian and Mediterranean twist, featuring dishes such as pistachio-crusted goat's cheese, butter-poached lobster, wagyu ribeye and sticky toffee pudding.

What is dialysis?
Dialysis is a way of cleaning your blood when your kidneys fail and can no longer do the job.
It gets rid of your body's wastes, extra salt and water, and helps to control your blood pressure. The main cause of kidney failure is diabetes and hypertension.
There are two kinds of dialysis — haemodialysis and peritoneal.
In haemodialysis, blood is pumped out of your body to an artificial kidney machine that filter your blood and returns it to your body by tubes.
In peritoneal dialysis, the inside lining of your own belly acts as a natural filter. Wastes are taken out by means of a cleansing fluid which is washed in and out of your belly in cycles.
It isn’t an option for everyone but if eligible, can be done at home by the patient or caregiver. This, as opposed to home haemodialysis, is covered by insurance in the UAE.

Strait of Hormuz
Fujairah is a crucial hub for fuel storage and is just outside the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping route linking Middle East oil producers to markets in Asia, Europe, North America and beyond.
The strait is 33 km wide at its narrowest point, but the shipping lane is just three km wide in either direction. Almost a fifth of oil consumed across the world passes through the strait.
Iran has repeatedly threatened to close the strait, a move that would risk inviting geopolitical and economic turmoil.
Last month, Iran issued a new warning that it would block the strait, if it was prevented from using the waterway following a US decision to end exemptions from sanctions for major Iranian oil importers.
