Adele and boyfriend to tie knot around Christmas?

Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki are reportedly planning a Christmas wedding in Los Angeles, reports The Daily Mirror.

“The plan is to marry in Los Angeles. The wedding will be in one of the school holidays, so Simon’s daughter can attend. It’s looking like it will be Christmas, but they want to keep details under wraps,” a source told the British newspaper.

“They’re a private couple and only want their nearest and dearest there,” the source added. Superstar singer Adele, 28 and Konecki, 42 were introduced by singer Ed Sheeran and recently celebrated their fifth anniversary, which Konecko marked by showering the singer with handwritten confetti during her concert in Nashville, Tennessee. They have a four-year-old son called Angelo. - National Staff

Justin Bieber big winner at MTV EMA European music awards

Justin Bieber was the biggest winner at the MTV EMA European music awards that took place on Sunday in Rotterdam. He edged out Lady Gaga to the top spot taking home three awards on the strength of support from his fans.

Bieber, who carried away the most silverware at the MTV EMAs last year with five awards, won Best Song this time around for his smash Sorry, and also took away the title of Best Canadian Act. His army of so-called Beliebers earned him his third crown of the night, Biggest Fans, in online voting via Twitter and Instagram that closed shortly before the show started.

Veteran punk rockers Green Day closed the raucous show with their anti-establishment anthem American Idiot.

“It is nice to be out of America just for a second because of this horrendous election that is going on right now,” lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong said.

Doctor Strange tops American box offices

Doctor Strange has taken the top spot at American box offices after its debut this weekend, making it the 14th Marvel film in a row to do so.

It took $85m in its first weekend. "The unbroken streak of critical and commercial success that Marvel has achieved is remarkable," Dave Hollis, domestic distribution chief at Disney, Marvel's parent studio, told Variety Magazine. "One of the reasons Marvel is a cut above is the emphasis and care they put on each character's development and particular journey."

The film follow the story of a brilliant surgeon (Benedict Cumberbatch) who turns to magic after a devastating accident prevents him from plying his craft. The story of Doctor Strange may be globally known after this weekend, but the character was hardly a household name before the movie hit. Variety Magazine reports that in recent years, the studio has been particularly adroit at turning lesser-known superheroes such as Ant-Man or the Guardians of the Galaxy into international heroes. - National Staff

Abhishek Bachchan credits fashion choice to family

Bollywood heartthrob Abhishek Bachchan who was seen wearing a pink blazer and jeans at a fashion show in Mumbai credited to his wife Aishwarya and daughter Aradhya for his fashionable choice of clothes, the Times of India reports "She [Aishwarya] chose my outfit today," he said. "She and Aaradhya collectively give me fashion tips."

The doting hubby was also asked about how proud he feels for his wife who has blown everyone away with ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ to which he replied, “Immensely. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the film yet because I have been travelling with my football team. But I will be seeing it in the coming week.” - National Staff

Amitabh Bachchan cheers on daughtr Nanda on the catwalk

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta Nanda, made her debut on the runway for Indian designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The show, held in Mumbai, showcased the designer duo's Enchanted collection and saw the 42-year-old Nanda walk the ramp in an heavily embellished white dress and feathered cape. A visibly excited Amitabh Bachchan was seen clicking photographs throughout Nanda's ramp walk. He later posted a few on Facebook and Twitter, stating: the most beautiful daughter in the whole world, Shweta, walks the ramp for Khosla Jani International .. a very very proud Father." - Sonali Kokra

Actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Kalki Koechlin 'planked' their way into the Guinness Book Of World Records on November 6. They were joined by Indian Olympic bronze medalist Sakshi Malik, supermodel Ujwala Raut and hundreds of other women to attempt the world record for the most number of people to hold the abdominal plank position. The women managed to hold the position for 60 seconds, securing the record. This display of core strength was motivated by a global 'Do You' campaign to celebrate the strength of women by sporting goods company Puma.
