The Crown stars Vanessa Kirby and Gillian Anderson are offering one lucky fan the chance to win a Zoom call with them to help raise funds for the Torn From Home campaign from the charity War Child International.
Kirby, who played Princess Margaret on the hit Netflix show, is an ambassador for War Child UK. She recently uploaded an Instagram post of herself in Iraq, writing about how she has “seen first-hand the devastating impact that war can have on a child’s life.”
She adds: “I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some of their centres round the world, like here in Iraq in 2019, witnessing the incredible work the War Child local staff do to support those children – who have been through so much – to create happier and brighter futures.”
To enter the prize draw, fans can purchase an entry for £5 ($7) and for every three entries purchased, the fourth will be free. Money raised for the campaign will be doubled by the UK government. The draw closes at 11.59pm on Thursday.
War Child International is an NGO with a mission to support children and young people affected by armed conflict and war. They aim to support children by helping them overcome their experiences for a chance to have a better future.
“Children and young people have the right to grow up free from fear and violence, to develop to their full potential and contribute to a peaceful future – for themselves and for their communities,” reads a statement on their website.
