Andrea Bocelli, the world-famous classical artist, is to perform in Abu Dhabi for one night only.

The 60-year-old Italian will perform both old and new material in front of fans at Yas Island's du Arena on April 26.

Tickets for the event go on public sale on Wednesday, February 27 at 12pm via Ticketmaster and Virgin Megastores.

This isn't Bocelli's first time in Abu Dhabi - he performed at du Arena in 2016, backed by the UAE's NSO Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, in what The National described as an "enchanting performance". He was also here in 2013 at the same venue.

Bocelli has sold 85 million records worldwide and has performed for popes and presidents and at events like the Olympics and the World Cup.

He released a new album, Si, in October, featuring a duet with his son Matteo.

The song, Fall on Me, appeared in the Disney film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, starring Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, Mackenzie Foy and Helen Mirren.

Si was his first album of new material in 14 years, and was recorded at his home in Italy.

"For my part, I try to be as careful as possible in my artistic choices and in the discipline necessary in my profession," Bocelli told The National in 2016.

Bocelli recently performed for this first time in Saudi Arabia at Al-Ula’s Maraya Concert Hall, as the country opens up its entertainment industry.
