When I interviewed Ines de la Fressange several years ago, she was wearing exactly the kind of thing she suggests all women should wear in her new book on style: jeans, a cashmere jumper and expensive shoes. If you had to describe Parisian chic, then she was it, in human form.

Parisian style, Ines asserts, is all about "attitude", "offbeat chic" and "effortless style". And if you are six feet tall, slim and a former Chanel model just like the author, then, yes, style is pretty effortless. Nevertheless, to her credit, Ines is always eager to put herself on a level footing with her more humble reader. "You don't need to be born in Paris to have Parisian style," she tells us. "I'm the perfect example, born down south in St Tropez!" Quelle horreur, just imagine the shame.
Ines is always engaging when she focuses on clothes, how to wear them, the basics all women should have, accessories and make-up. But the truth is that even if style is not really effortless, it should look like it is and it is something this book will help any woman achieve.

How to apply for a drone permit
- Individuals must register on UAE Drone app or website using their UAE Pass
- Add all their personal details, including name, nationality, passport number, Emiratis ID, email and phone number
- Upload the training certificate from a centre accredited by the GCAA
- Submit their request

- Ensure maximum flying height of 400 feet (122 metres) above ground level is not crossed
