You can now kayak around Louvre Abu Dhabi at night

Six tours of the Jean Nouvel-designed museum are planned under the stars this summer

Louvre Abu Dhabi is an extraordinarily beautiful building at any time of the day.

But the museum, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, is particularly striking in the evening when the sun has dipped into the Arabian Gulf and hundreds of lights embedded in the enormous dome sparkle under the night sky.

You can now experience this wonder up close with a night-time kayaking tour around Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The 60-minute tours, organised by water sports company Sea Hawk, will take place on various dates in July, August and September at 8.30pm and 10pm. The dates will coincide with the full-moon each month.

The price of a night-time tour has yet to be announced but day-time kayaking tours, launched by Sea Hawk earlier this year, cost Dh126 and include a guide and life-jacket hire.
