The National has built a world-class reputation for showcasing the best in visual journalism. Since its inception on April 17, 2008, our photographers have captured the world around them from a fresh, imaginative and often surprising perspective.
To celebrate our sixth anniversary, our talented photo editors have made a selection from more than 400,000 images captured during the past six years and presented the 40 best frames in this exhibition, which opens at Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) in Dubai tomorrow.
From the web of lightning that gathered over the Burj Khalifa during a 2009 storm, the bird’s eye perspective of Abu Dhabi’s parking woes in the pre-Mawaqif days to snapshots from the Northern Emirates such as children playing in a wadi or a mother and son in Fujairah, the exhibition travels the length and breadth of the country and around the region.
The exhibition is free to visit and open to the public from tomorrow in the GPP gallery space in Alserkal Avenue.
